Learn Japanese Hiragana!

★★★★★ A great app to learn Hiragana!! So cute, and fun! Very basic :) I learned very quickly :)) there is a similar one for Katakana :)

★★★★★ It's good. Try it! Learning without english words shown is actually better for memorizing Japanese. It forces you to rely on reading the hiragana. There are hints you can turn on/off too. I think they should say the hiragana out load during the matching game though.

★★☆☆☆ It's such a pretty app I hate to give it a low score, but there is nothing to this. All you do is match hiragana to hiragana. As in A for A, KA for KA, etc. I'm not sure how it's supposed to teach anything when it just throws you into it, and you are doing nothing but match kana symbol for kana symbol, not the sound or the romaji or whatever. The only reason it does not get a 1 star is because as I said it's pretty to look at and has up beat cute music. Almost insulting like Teletubbies. ^^!

★★☆☆☆ I'm not sure if I'm missing something. It starts with a matching game. Then leads into a memory card game. Then goes into showing you images of items or animals and having you try to guess what it is using the previously shown symbols. It may just be me, but I was completely lost. It drops you in the water without any explanation of what the symbols mean or in what way they're used, and then expects you to use them to guess various nouns. And this is only level one. I was, again, completely lost.

★★☆☆☆ Fun but... It's a cute game, but how am I supposed to know what these things are called in Japanese?
