Nice to use, seems to be smooth and useful, but most importantly, great to have traditional Chinese script, Duolingo is frustratingly focused on Chinese market so makes the app useless if you're trying to read anything in Taiwan.

I'm intermediate at Mandarin and have been checking out a lot of different apps like Duolingo in hopes of improving it, but their vocabulary and pronunciation are always Beijing centered and robotic. This app teaches more practical phrases real folks use. I also turned off the Pinyin since I don't use that, but I wish that it had ㄅㄆㄇ as that's the only practical option in Taiwan. If learning Japanese, you wouldn't use romanji. Real speakers don't. They use hiragana. 在台灣只用拼音學國語非常非常不方便，因而必須先學注音符號。

I hope they add more complex sentences and words for the traditional Chinese app such as HSK 5 and 6 levels. If it does this app is hands down the best for practice as one swipe gives voice, words, translations, pictures, pronunciation all on one screen - outstanding app.

Found it hard to navigate. Once you have chosen the words to learn, I couldn't find a way to add others later. I unsubscribed to try again, and now it won't let me subscribe. Shame as it is traditional chinese, which I need

I chose this app because it teaches traditional Mandarin. But it's hard to navigate in the app. And why are the cheap clip art illustrations all of white people ?

Stars don't represent my impression. Once I use more I will adjust. I found a questionable Romanization. In sentences communication agree. There is option to report but need to create account, for now I am not interested. Here it is 妳是對的 妳 is expressed as Nǎi even though exist such form still the associated audio produces as Nǐ. Why would learning program for beginners confused right at beginning with no explanation.
