Description by Everest Lab Written by the developer, not by AppBrain. Click to read.
In a week of short, happy sessions, your child can start naming animals, colors and fruit in English, saying little sentences like "I see a cat" and "I can jump", and hearing the sounds letters make. LearnMelody teaches first English through songs and gentle play, with Mello as a warm little guide.
For ages 2 to 8: lovely from age 2 alongside a grown-up, just right for preschool and kindergarten, and a gentle start for older children who are new to English (ESL).
WHAT YOUR CHILD LEARNS
• First words: 154 everyday English words in 13 topics, including animals, colors, fruit, food, family, body parts, numbers, actions, feelings, weather, greetings, daily routines and animal sounds. Tap a picture, hear Mello say the word clearly, then find it again in a little game.
• Little sentences: 80 short lessons built on 10 everyday patterns, such as "I see a…", "This is my…", "I have a…", "I want…", "Where is…?", "I can…" and "Let's…".
• Letter sounds: Mello's Sounds introduces the first 8 letter sounds (B, C, A, D, I, E, G and H), each linked to a word your child already knows. A calm first step into phonics.
• Say it with Mello: tap the microphone and have a go at saying the word out loud.
• Mello Reads (ages 6–8): read a word and find its picture, or hear a word and find it written.
SING, WATCH AND LISTEN
• Sing along in Mello's Songbook.
• More than 20 calm story videos, with the words on screen.
• Short song and word videos to watch together.
GAMES WITH NO WAY TO FAIL
Find the picture, listen and choose, count with Mello, sort colors, match pairs and build a sentence. Every try is cheered and nothing is ever marked wrong. No timers, no scores, no pressure.
CALM AND SAFE BY DESIGN
• No ads. No streaks. No harsh sounds.
• A sticker album of happy keepsakes, not a leaderboard.
• Bedtime mode: a soft looping lullaby, a dimmed screen and a sleepy Mello.
• Word, sentence and letter-sound lessons work without internet.
FOR PARENTS
• Parent Corner shows the week in plain words: the songs your child sang, the words they met, and three words to say at home. An optional Sunday note brings it to you.
• Grows with your child: choose 2–3, 4–5 or 6–8 and lessons adjust their pace, choices and worlds.
• Menus and parent screens in your language (English, Spanish, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese). Lessons stay in English.
• Free to use, with no account or sign-up.
• Ready for school: the patterns Mello uses, like "This is a…", "I have a…" and "I like…", are the ones children meet in their first English lessons.
Pre-A1 level. First English, made with love.
