To play the Descent: Legends of the Dark board game, one player must download the free Legends of the Dark app on a compatible device. This companion app determines the setup of each quest, tracks your party's inventory, skills, progress, and resolves combat while telling a narrative story of our heroes braving the exciting forests, dangerous dungeons, and majestic landscapes of Terrinoth. The app also lets the heroes save their campaign, allowing them to complete it over the course of several gaming sessions."

Fantastic app - best board game w/ app implementation yet - this will always be an underrated game due to the reliance on the app, but give it a try if you're hesitant and see how great it is

The app is garbage. Load times are insane. One week in and it had a 700mb update?!?!? What kind of assets are bing updated?!?! Doesn't keep track of everything in the event of having to save and continue later. Starting a new mission shows your available equipment (armor, trinkets) but you don't input them unless it's required for app math. Minimal voice. No ability to transfer a save to another device.

Downloads all the time new assets (636 MB) at each start which is... well subpar to put it mildly. Also crashes constantly as an Android App. So how to play my $180 BOARD game now?
