Wide choice of colors and defaulted to type in the notes content section. The only downsides are that the time stamp doesn't count beyond 24 hours, and today's time stamp or past date stamp is altered to now-time or today's date as soon as you re-access the note...even just to change its color. And the keyboard is minimized when spellchecker highlights a wrongly-spelt word etc. so the word has to be rewritten instead of corrected where needed.

Nice work for what it is, but I must post this review to remember I've tried it on my (eternal, apparently!) quest for a note app with the basic functionality I'm looking for. • No dark theme, or any background choices other than white (unusable in low light). • Can't sort notes manually. • Can't list notes by titles only (requires 2– 3x as much scrolling—must we really see all the 1st lines of text too? Why?) • Can't group notes (folders, tags). Thanks for letting me try it though!

UPDATED REVIEW : Thank You Very Much to Developer for Fast action to make paid version which was ads free. Price is reasonable for hardcore user like me. I am glad still can use these apps, as I've been use so many notes apps, this one still the best in terms of ultralight memory usage, instant open apps without loading and this apps being my Whole day Diary for many years. Very-very recommended Apps!

Why does it always stop when I try to restore my notes? I don't mind paying for a premium version, is it the same with REMOVE ADS version? I always back up my notes, saved the backup in my laptop, then restored them to my mobile phone whenever needed. I had my mobile phone reset on 16 March 2021, at that time I was successfully restoring all my notes from my laptop to my mobile phone. But now I can't restore all my notes, they are gone! Please fix this. Thank you.

Malware bytes identified this app as an infection. I don't know if that's an error, but Light Notes has stored 9 MB of user data - I found out during a routine cache clean - before I've ever used the app as far as I remember (forgot I'd installed it ages ago). I and many IT professionals, have great trust in Malware bytes; I don't know this app or developer. User data deleted first, then uninstalled!

Have to change my review from 5 stars to 1. Was the best notes app, and I used it for years until the developer suddenly decided to implement intrusive ads with the latest update. Time to uninstall and look for something else...

It introduced annoying ads. When I just want to take a quick note, I don't have time to watch an ad. Be careful, if you close an ad before it finishes playing, your note will not be saved! Now I have to move all my notes to a different app. I wouldn't pay for such a basic app. Thankfully there are tons of others note-taking apps that are free, open source or already come preinstalled on your phone. I wouldn't recommend this one to anyone.
