This BLE app has the clearest interface in my experience, and helped me poke around some devices.

Found my hearing aid, not the easiest of apps to find BT devices (I know that's not it's primary function) but you work it out and understand the signal strength indicators it actually gets very easy. Thank You so much. This app beats all the so-called "Bluetooth finders" hands down.

I see that there have been problems with reading Characteristic User Descriptions before. I can't get Light Blue to read them now, but it used to work great. I have a recording from April that shows Light Blue naming all the custom characteristics of my custom service by their Characteristic User Descriptions. It's the only BLE client I've seen that could do this. Now, it only names the first one. And, nothing happens when I click on Characteristic User Description under DESCRIPTORS. EDIT: Excellent! Release 1.9.0 does indeed fix the problem with reading Characteristic Name. Thanks!

On the website it said you could find your Bluetooth device even if it was turned off Didn't work

Useless app - no detection even if you stick it straight into another Bluetooth device. It used to work ok about 1.5 - 2 years ago. Now it's completely useless
★★☆☆☆
Yet another fake Bluetooth signal finding app, complete with fake device Bluetooth addresses. I can't see why it would be so difficult to actually implement the functionality, since Bluetooth must be on, it could simply query the data in the actual list of detectable devices that are listed in the Bluetooth settings of the device and simply use the data there to let you know whether the signal is increasing or decreasing. All needed is a distance graph or arrow or even a hot to cold meter.
