Live Moon Wallpaper - Umbra

Your moon wallpaper, live. Umbra turns your home screen into the real night sky above you: the moon in tonight's exact phase, the stars and planets exactly where they stand right now, the Milky Way, twilight and moonlight. It moves with the night, phase by phase, all month long.

A LIVE MOON WALLPAPER THAT IS REAL
Most moon wallpapers are a photo. Umbra computes the sky for your location, minute by minute, on your phone. The moon is drawn from NASA Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter maps, with the real terminator and the faint earthshine on a thin crescent. When the moon rises in the evening, it rises on your wallpaper too. Low on the horizon it glows orange, high up it turns silver.

SCENES
• Sea: a silver path of moonlight glitters on the water
• Hills: rolling ridges and tree lines in the mist
• Peaks, Pines, City and Desert in Umbra Pro
Every scene has layered depth. Swipe between your home screens and the foreground moves faster than the sky.

DETAILS THAT MATTER
• Moon phase, rise and set times, days until the next full moon
• Moon size from true to telephoto
• Real twilight colours at dusk and dawn, a blue day sky at noon
• Shooting stars, more often on the nights of the big meteor showers
• Stars twinkle gently and the sea moves. Turn motion off to save battery.
• Look towards the moon or any compass direction
• Moon phase widget for your home screen, drawn from the same NASA map
