If you find the debian or ubuntu or centos or Red-Hat PC,These PC need to have mDNS installed. Please input the following command. apt install avahi-daemon libnss-mdns dnf install avahi avahi-tools nss-mdns yum install avahi avahi-tools nss-mdns
Windows10 and macOS have mDNS installed from the beginning, so you can find it without any action. If you have even mDNS installed, you can also find SBCs such as ESP32 or micro:bit. It took a little of getting used to! I kept trying to enter "esp8266.local" and it would just stare at me. It never gave me any feedback, so I got very frustrated and almost uninstalled it. Then I tried just "esp8266" without the.local extension, and again it just stared at me. Finally, I selected IPv4 and "esp8266" and tapped search icon, and it gave me the IP address of the device! Cool! Then I clicked on COPY IP and then put it in the Chrome browser, and it showed up just fine!!

Perfect! Simple easy, does what Chrome can't do. I travel and take a Raspberry Pi with me. Finding it on visited Wi-Fi networks has been a real pain. Until now! Should have looked for this sooner.

doesn't show names of all mDNS items, you need to know in advance. Takes ages to install, for some reason dragging to uninstall won't remove...

Doesn't work for me (Moto Stylus). At all. Type in a name (tried with and without.local extension), hit Search, nothing happens. Won't give it one star as it seems to be working for others. EDIT: should have mentioned mDNS works just fine from my laptop and from all the other computers in my house. Only culprit is my phone.

No idea what this is supposed to do. Doesn't "find" anything; you enter the address. If I know the address, I don't need an app?
