Prominent Disclosure & Accessibility API Usage: This app uses the AccessibilityService API solely to perform the system-level action of turning off and locking the screen. • Why Accessibility API is used: The AccessibilityService API allows the app to lock the screen without invalidating biometric authentication (such as fingerprint or face unlock) on Android 9 (Pie) and above. • Data Privacy: This app DOES NOT collect, store, or share any personal or sensitive user data via the AccessibilityService API. The API is used strictly to execute the screen-lock action.

My previous phone supported a double tap on the screen to lock it. After upgrading. I found this app to be a godsend. I just leave it on the main desktop screen, so it's always there. The problem is that some Android 17 has made this app unusable to the Advanced Protection feature. The only way to re-enable the app is to turn this feature off for the entire phone for all apps forever. The developer needs to make a code change apparently: (isAccessibilityTool="true")

After the update it's causing an app opening animation before the screen get locked out. The animation looks kinda buggy. I'm on the latest One UI. Will be glad if it'll get fixed.

Seems to have stopped working, just will not close the window. Been using this for the last few years, works across all my phones, no fuzz, no ads, no tracking, no nonsense, just works and works so well. Apart from now anyway.
