Description
Islands is a puzzle game that is based on the Japanese puzzle, Nurikabe. Islands puzzle is a logic based puzzle, similar to Sudoku, kakuro, sitherlink and hashi. You win if you play by the rules 😉. The game is a good exercise to the mind and a very productive way to pass your time. So if you are looking for a brain game, you are at the right place.
Most of you might not be familiar with this puzzle game, but as mentioned it is from Nikoli, same company that gave us sudoku, hashi and other pencil puzzles.
For those who do not know what is Nurikabe - It is an island forming puzzle. You need to make land masses on the board and cover it wholly following the below rules:
🔵Each numbered cell denotes the number of cell in the island cluster. 🔵Island clusters should not be connected with each other. 🔵Cells are connected if they are touching each other, vertically or horizontally, but not diagonally. 🔵The ocean should be connected. 🔵Ocean should not form a pool, i.e. a 2x2 block.
The game contains hundreds of levels. You get coins for each puzzle that you solve, which can be used to unlock next pack of puzzle.

The app is well-made, and nurikabe is a fun game. It seems like you can earn enough coins without paying, but to be frank I do not feel compelled to spend money or invest time earning coins when there are comprehensive nurikabe websites already.

The game is good, genuinely. The reason for my poor rating is, the game progresses by unlocking new levels through coins. Coins are earned by clearing previous levels. Problem is, it is impossible to earn enough coins to unlock new levels by just playing. You simply have to spend real money to buy in game coins and progress beyond the beginning. If the creator does not change this, please do not expect any traction on the game's growth. Thank you.
