As a college student, I have to find fallacies in sources and put them in essays. Finding them takes time, so having this app does it for me save a lot of time. I only wish that the amount of characters able to be used was more than 500, but I give this app 5 stars.

Doesn't detect fallacies very well, the algorithm is very primitive, and the types of fallacies available are VERY limited. Not useful.

I tested the app. It only managed to identify 1 out of 4 logical fallacies I listed: Not detected: 1) I know God does not exist because I personally could not believe that he does. 2) Yellow crazy ants are not ants. No true ant accepts more than one queen. 3) Some people think 2 + 2 = 4. Others think 2 + 2 = 10. The real answer is 7, because the truth is somewhere in between. Detected: 4) You are an incompetent entomologist because your face is ugly.

Opened it up and gave it a few arguments that were perfectly fine as well as some that are clearly not. It doesn't do a good job of picking out fallacies in sentences at all. For instance, put in the classic valid deductive: All men are mortal. Socrates is a man. Therefore, Socrates is mortal. What do you get back? Hasty Generalization. 😄
