FEATURES: - Free FTP Server - UTF-8 support - Restrict connections to selected wireless networks - Access while on 3G (if supported by the mobile network) - Restrict access to specific folder - Verbose log output to trace connections/access and help in error solving - Remote shutdown with custom ("SITE SHUTDOWN" command) - Tasker and Locale Plugin Support
NOTE about permissions: WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE and READ_PHONE_STATE are implicitly added, because of compatibility to 1.5 devices (see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1747178/android-permissions-phone-calls-read-phone-state-and-identity) for an explanation. Since there is still people with 1.5 using my FTPServer, I do not want to set the minimum required permission to a higher version.

Can't change default directory. The pop-up works but when you click on it nothing happens. (Nexus 5X, android 7.1)

Been using this for years on my Galaxy Note 1. Extremely satisfied! Cannot find a better FTP server application, however the application is an need of an update. My recent device is running Android nougat 7.1.1 and this app has trouble setting the "default directory". The default directory by default is "root (/)" and this app cannot access that. So whenever a client tries to connect to this, it just cannot list the directory content. Please update. Thank you very much, keep up the good work! God bless!!

Options look good. that's where it ends. It didn't work, i finally connected, can't get a list of files just says no permission in log. tried restricting to default also same error. There is no default settings, and the interface is not intuitive. I installed the app: wifi ftp server and i was able to connect within seconds. Almost thought that android 7 has some extra permission issues. but it's just the app that is not good.

Sadly it did not work on my Nexus 5X. I could not choose / modify the default directory (/) and when I tried to connect from my PC it said something wrong with the folder permissions. I run on the stock Nexus 5X ROM, I give every permission to the app it requested. Other FTP app worked on the first try. Which is sad as I'd like it this one more feature-wise.

Huawei Nova - bug, cannot change default dir from /

It does work, but it has some major issues. It arbitrarily limits the ports you can use, preventing you from using the default ftp port, and it makes you approve every single wifi network you want to use it on by hand. Didn't see an option to just accept connections in every network.
