Madeira: Levada Walks, Weather

Madeira has several climate zones on one small island. Funchal can be in sun while the north coast is in cloud. This Madeira travel guide shows the weather where you are standing, which levada walks are open today, and what is on.

WALKING ON MADEIRA
The levadas are Madeira's old irrigation channels, and the paths beside them are the island's best walks: Levada do Caldeirão Verde, Levada das 25 Fontes, Levada do Rei, the PR1 from Pico do Arieiro to Pico Ruivo. Rockfall and storms close them without warning. Check the levada before you drive to it, then check the summit for cloud.
