As a speech/language pathologist working with autistic children and young adults, magnusmode is a fantastic way to offer visual supports to those who may need an immediate visual tool in their home, community, or school. The magnusmode card deck on a phone or tablet allows individuals to be independent and confident in their every day life!

Highly recommended for daily skill development My nonverbal son with autism uses Magnus to guide him through daily chores, community outings. His favorite is the Tim Hortons decks. He is able to go through ordering baked goods on his own whereas usually I have to do this for him. He smiles and laughs when he has completed a task on his own. Can't wait for new decks, so he can continue to grow while enjoying himself.

Easy to use, useful, engaging: it's almost like the developer actually understands autism. What?! I recommend this to anyone who is having difficulty with executive functions (remembering, sequencing, time management, for example)...anyone who just cannot learn by hearing the lesson or steps. When we use visual resources, we are increasing the chance for success. As an autism consultant, autism workshop facilitator, autism advocate, parent of an autistic son and grandparent of a wonderful autistic grandchild--I can only say one thing: thank you to the developer for investing you time, energy and money into something that's actually going to make a difference.

I'm a 24 yr old that has ASD. I'm not sure why this is labelled as for teens & young adults when many of the cards are clearly made for young kids. Some of them are helpful but many are weirdly specific, even the ones that aren't sponsored by a specific brand. And it isn't helpful specificity It's things like "make friends by asking people if they would like to play with your dinosaur toys". This app could be good & I hope the devs take input from disabled adults when designing future cards.
