Description
Magwa, the most prestigious scholar of arcane antiquities, has spent his life traveling the Vast Kingdom in search of powerful and fascinating magic items. He has explored the darkest dungeons and braved the dens of dragons to bring you a magic item collection like you've never seen. He has finally published a portion of his discoveries in this mobile application for you to use in your next RPG adventure.
His work includes over 30 free hand-drawn sketches and the option to buy many more. It even includes the ability to randomly generate items, create your own, and save them for later use. Magic, right?
While the compendium is simple to use, it is more than just a random magic item generator. As a dungeon master, you will have the power to generate thousands of random magic items with a single tap. You will also be able to create your own custom magic items or adapt random magic items to fit your game setting. Once you find an item you love, the magic item compendium lets you save it to your phone so you can pull it up quickly the next time you play. To top it all off, the compendium includes a handful of wondrous items that are ready for you to reference and use in your game.
The app is compatible with 5e materials and even pulls some of your favorite magic items straight from the D&D Systems Reference Document (SRD) via the Open Gaming License.

Overall, this app is fantastic. The creator-made items that come with it are fun, but the biggest strength of this app is the ability to fully customize your own items. The interface is easy to use and figure out, and the provided artworks are gorgeous. Yes, there are additional art packs for purchase, but with the ability to upload your own pictures, you don't need them. I mean, I bought them anyway. They look great. The one addition I'd like to see is text formatting (bold, italic, etc.).

I absolutely love this app. Great for random items or homebrew. Only recommendations would be: -To be able to make a random item by "ring" or "amulet" etc. in addition to the general "arcane" type. -Increased amount of item's descriptions and abilities. Also, possibly a randomizer which combines different parts of the already existing functions. -More ring and amulet pictures Still, this is my favorite item generator. And uploading your on pics is great too.

This is a good app for making an easy little potpourri selection of magic items when a reward for players is needed in a pinch. The reason as others have pointed out for the poor review is the move to a subscription as mandatory to unlock new & old purchased content, vs. being able to one time purchase the content you want permanently. I was happy to buy the packs, but I'm unimpressed by the slow bleed model.

Look, this is a great app that I used ages ago, recently I redownloaded it and went to check out some of the item packs, most only give 4 images and a handful of items. None are worth the displayed price of 174.99

Well, this was a great app until they slapped a subscription fee onto new item packs. Guess I'll just use packs I have or custom pictures now. Probably just end up abandoning it. I don't know who uses an app for DND items so much they think two bucks a month is a reasonable price. I run a weekly campaign, and sometimes I have no reason to use the app even once a month. Even if they charged three bucks for packs instead of two, then I would have been fine. Sad to have this out of nowhere.

Tried rare and legendary armors and items and weapons crafting, you get about 3 different item variations in each section, far better to just look up 5e magic items, rare wondrous had literally 2 items in it
