★★★★★ Edited to 5 stars. Works great! This app has a much better interface than the automail plugin. I must have set up the permissions wrong originally because (as a suggestion from reddit) I re-installed and re-set up permissions, and now it works great. A very useful app. You can use variables inside of tasker to dictate the content of the message body as well as the attachments, and you can send multiple attachments at once.

★★★★★ So far so good. The old Locale plugin fails sporadically on new tablet. This one seems reliable. Update after a couple of hours of testing. Also fails sporadically (and silently!) Using default GMail option. SMTP would not work at all. Tasker mail plugins seem to have terrible trouble with Android 7. Seems crazy as SMTP works fine on every other device I own (and has for decades). This includes an ancient Android phone running the old Locale plugin. Update again. Set it up to send an email every fifteen minutes overnight. Failed every time. Opening the app seems to "wake" it temporarily. Will see if support can figure it out, otherwise this is a one-star fail (and I bought the "Pro" version) Edit again: Support reached out with the hint to exclude the app from battery optimization. Haven't tested yet, but that seems right as other plugins have had similar issues until excluded from that list. Seems Android 7 is very aggressive about saving battery power. Expect it will work reliably now...

★★☆☆☆ Seems not to work (anymore). Just installed it looking for a way to forward SMS messages to my email inbox and came across this tasker plugin, installed and gave all required access, imported and set up the corresponding task in tasker, and... Nothing. The popup displays correctly, so I know that the text message intercept works, but the forwarder doesn't. Worst of all, the log file is completely empty, despite granting write access and all, so I really can't trace the problem.

★★☆☆☆ DO NOT BUY - no longer seems to work on recent versions of Android, & the developer ignores support emails (have tried to contact them multiple times, all of which had no response). App worked on older Android but now does not.

★★☆☆☆ Does not work with hosted Gmail accounts.
