“Does my friend need to download Email Messenger app to chat with me?”
No. All your friends need is an email address. Email Messenger leverages email as its platform. Whatever clients or softwares your friends are using, they can still send emails to you via your email address. Email Messenger syncs all your desktop emails, and presents them in a mobile-friendly messaging style.
“What does it look like to someone who doesn't have the app?”
No change. To non-MailTime users, messages appear as normal emails. If you'd like to view the original email within MailTime, simply tap on the chat bubbles.
“How do I compose a new message?”
Look for the "Write" icon at the top right corner of the screen, tap that, select your recipients, and write in the bubbles. Or you can start a quick chat by clicking a friend from the Contact Lists in the app.

Says it creates the account, then preparing my inbox then it just goes back to the create an account page...three different gmail accounts on a Samsung S7 and nothing happens.

Lacking basics, or is it me? Maybe some one can respond? Android user, S7 edge. I have installed this app twice hoping the updates would address the basics...1 - how is there no way to place an email in a folder? 2 - why can you NOT delete an email while you are in it? Hitting back then swiping to get the archive button is not productive. Being able to delete an email or move it to a folder would give you a few more stars. Also, why is this app soooo slow when opening an email? My stock email app, outlook, gmail, all so much faster. I want to like this....
