MapCar Launcher – Car Home

MapCar Launcher is a home screen for Android car stereos and head units. Turn the car on and you see the map, your speed, the speed limit of the road you are on, the radio and a clock — no need to open app after app. Other apps are one tap away in the dock on the left and open full screen as usual.

ONE SCREEN FOR EVERYTHING YOU NEED WHILE DRIVING

• Map that follows the car and turns with it, with live traffic
• The speed limit of the road you are on next to your current speed, changing colour when you go over
• A virtual car driving on neon lanes at your real speed
• Analog clock with solar and lunar calendar
• Internet radio (VOV Traffic and many more) or controls for the music already playing
• A labelled dock on the left where you can pin the apps you use most

ALERTS YOU CAN HEAR

• Spoken warnings (Vietnamese) when you speed, approach a camera, a traffic light or a no-turn sign
• A safety margin of a few km/h, plus GPS speed calibration
• Limits follow your vehicle type: car, truck, coach, tractor-trailer
• Limits the app estimates always carry a ~ so you can tell them from real signs

NAVIGATION

Search with or without Vietnamese accents, or by voice. Turn-by-turn voice guidance, fast rerouting when you leave the route, the routes you usually take remembered, Home and Work saved.

WORKS WITHOUT SIGNAL

Download the map, places, street names and routing data for the whole country once over Wi-Fi. In tunnels, on mountain passes or on a head unit with no SIM, you still see the road and still get directions.

CAMERA AND SAFETY

• Loop dashcam recording from the head unit camera, a USB camera or a Wi-Fi dashcam
• Road sign recognition through the camera, running on the device
• A reminder to take a break after a long stretch of driving
• Tyre pressure from TPMS sensors (Bluetooth or USB)

COMMUNITY MAP

One button to report jams, accidents, police, flooding or cameras to other drivers — and see their reports on your way. You can turn it off in Settings.

PRO PLAN (IN GOOGLE PLAY)

For the first 30 days after installing, every Pro feature is unlocked for free — no card, no automatic charge. After that the Pro plan (yearly subscription or a one-time Lifetime purchase) unlocks:
• Car data from an OBD-II adapter: speed, RPM, engine temperature, fault codes
• Your own plate on the virtual car
• Your own greeting that calls you by name
• Holiday themes and greetings that change by date

MIKA AI

A voice assistant: tap the mic and say "take me home", "find the nearest petrol station", "open the radio". Comes with a 30-day trial, then a monthly subscription in Google Play.

Every safety feature — speed alerts, navigation, offline data, the community map — is free.

• MapCar Launcher is not a certified speed-measuring device and does not replace real road signs. The sign on the road always wins.
• Set MapCar Launcher as the default home app in the device settings so the car starts straight into it.
• Road data comes from OpenStreetMap, updated by the community.
