Terrible customer service. I am an existing customer of Marcus and I referred my wife to open an online savings account. After application, she was asked to call after 24 hours since there is a systems issue. Today, it has been more than 96 hours, and we have called back 3 times. Every time, the customer service mentions to start a new application, without giving any information about the existing application which is stuck with a systems issue. very, very frustrating experience.

Absolute multiple person screwup by Marcus. They could not get a wire transfer together for a week! At first, they said they don't do wires only ACHs. Then they don't work with trusts. Some bank, huh?. Representative flat out lied to me. They think all trusts are business accounts. Very poor training of reps. it's a roach motel. You can get your money in, but you have a hello fa time getting it out. Many hours on the phone over the week explaining to reps how banking is supposed to work. Stay away!

Be aware that when you transfer funds from your personal account they will hold them inaccessible to you for a lengthy period of time, and you will be unable to access any part of them unlike other options like Robinhood or any other bank that at least gives you an option to get a portion back if you need it. Not a great option if you plan to access your funds in an emergency.
