I use this all the time to clock when the ships are coming in and out of port

Speaking with my son today who has never seen in ship in the Deep Water Channel I told her him I'd check the Marine Traffic 'app' & three are en route. I don't recall the 'app' previously having a feature to see upcoming ports-of-call, but will now use it and stake out the Channel. I've not seen a vessel enter the Sacramento Deep Water Channel in some years.

It is fun for this old man who spent many of his younger years sailing for fun to keep track of others at sea, especially sailing ships.
★★★★★Dan Short· Jun 30, 2026
5 bucks, and I know when the boats come in, THANK YOU.

The old version had a better appearance amongst other thinfs and had Drawing Pins with the names of each vessel which I gavevthe app 5 Stars... now we just have Drawing Pins. If it wasn't due to me looking up Cruise Ships and a few Tankers near where we go on holiday on the Isle of Wight (UK), I would have cancelled my subscription & uninstalled, hence the 1 Star.

My husband is a commercial fisherman, and we would use this app to track his vessel. So, it is to my disappointment to see the trash update when the start of the season. Ugh this app used to be wonderful. And now it's difficult to navigate. No ETA time. It's difficult to track a ships' path. I had a paid version, but will be turning it off. I will be seeking another app to replace this monstrosity.
