UPDATE: if I browse files in the Android file manager I can tap on a .md file, and it will offer to open it in this app. So that's good. Can't figure out how to open an existing .md file that is already on my android file system. (What I'm really trying to do is to be able to view markdown files I save in Dropbox but have Dropbox set to keep them synced offline to my Android phone. Which I'm beginning to think is not possible to do in any way with any app.)

Nice markdown editor. Just a few little things. Please include spell checking. I've gotten lazy with spelling. Also, I am willing to give a contribution if it removes ads. I'd like to see the app developed. Like to support the developer. I don't like ads. I mostly use markdown editors for writing shorter blog posts and longer essays. One thing I would like is to link the files with wiki links. My blog host supports them. Thanks.

I like the look of the interface and the Google Keep-esque way of displaying notes, but why oh why can't I access folders in the file structure when I change the file path? I have years of Markdown files separated into folders, I don't think that's uncommon, but this app only wants to write notes into one singular top level folder. If I could access my own file structure I would use this app and pay to remove the apps immediately, but alas.

On first start "Oops! Something is going wrong in getting your files, if you modified the path [No I didn't] change it in the settings or revert to default one..." So Pocket mark had an issue on installation. Xiaomi Mi3. Pressing for revert to default path gave no useful feedback. Started the UI... put in some texts ok. Buttons to insert markdown ok. Tried insert image button, no response. Reinstalled. Same. No more time to fiddle around. Got work to do. 😕

Will not open an existing folder of notes. It creates actual. Md notes, but tracks them all in a .JSON file and will only show files that are registered in the JSON file. If you never used another app it may work okay but If I can't just point it at a folder of existing markdown notes, then is it really a markdown EDITOR?
