Training tactical motifs allows me to recognize the patterns to spot and work with possible tactics (like an alarm bell, noticing undefended pieces exposed king, overloaded and pinned pieces etc. etc.) in my games. BUT doing mate in x puzzles improves my analysis accuracy, analysis tree organization and efficiency. This is because we know the aim and can thus isolate the analysis of variations. With tactical motifs, half of our energy is devoted to recognizing the conditions for said tactic.

This app is very useful to chess players and the beginning means the beginner players who are interested in solving chess ♟️♟️ puzzles.

If you are an aspiring chess tournament player, Gillam's simple checkmate is a MUST. Doing Gillam ideally 3 times aiming for faster solving each time will really seal the basics. Mate in 2 is VERY important. It separates the chess casuals from chess aficionados. Therefore, the question isn't should we practice mate in 2 but should we choose this app over Gillam's simple Checkmates which covers the most important mates in one and mates in two in organized gradation. Yes if time permits.

Lol. A checkmate puzzle should not have you guessing which end of the chess board you are at. It 100% changes pawn endgames. That's the most basic endgame. It fails at the most basic.

Repeats the same simple king queen mate over and over and over.
