Maxsello POS - Tap to Pay

Maxsello POS is a free point of sale (POS) app that turns your Android phone into a till and a card reader. Take contactless card payments with Tap to Pay, scan barcodes with the camera, take cash and email receipts - no card machine to buy and no monthly fee on the free plan.

Made for small businesses in the UK: market stalls, cafés and coffee vans, food trucks, pop-up shops, craft fairs, salons, small shops and anyone who sells on the go.

TAP TO PAY: TAKE CARD PAYMENTS ON YOUR PHONE
• Your phone is the card reader. The customer taps their contactless debit or credit card, or a phone wallet such as Google Pay or Apple Pay, on the back of your phone
• No card machine, card terminal or chip and PIN reader to buy or rent
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe and paid into your own Stripe account
• Set up in minutes: connect your Stripe account in the app and you are ready to take cards
• If a card asks for a PIN, the customer types it on your phone
• Tap to Pay needs Android 13 or later and a phone with NFC

A FAST, SIMPLE TILL
• Tap products into the basket, or search by name, SKU or barcode
• Built-in barcode scanner: scan products with your phone's camera, no separate scanner needed
• Change quantities, give a discount, or ring up a custom item at any price
• Sell to a walk-in customer or a saved customer
• Look back at recent sales

CASH AND OTHER WAYS TO PAY
• Take cash with quick cash buttons, and the change to give is worked out for you
• Record a bank transfer or a payment taken on your own card machine
• Split one sale across more than one payment, for example part cash and part card

RECEIPTS AND INVOICES
• Email the receipt (invoice) to your customer straight after the sale
• Print or share the PDF invoice from your phone

PRODUCTS, STOCK AND INVENTORY
• Add products with a price, sale price, VAT rate, barcode, SKU and photo
• Track stock: it goes down automatically with every sale
• Organise products into categories

CUSTOMERS
• Keep your customers' names, companies, phone numbers, emails and addresses
• See each customer's latest invoices

• Today's sales and money taken, by payment method: Tap to Pay, cash and bank transfer

Everything you do in the app appears in your Maxsello account on the web at maxsello.com, where you can also manage invoices, reports and settings.

THE FREE PLAN
• Up to 50 products and one user
• Card payments with Tap to Pay: unlimited. A Maxsello fee is taken from each Tap to Pay payment, on top of Stripe's own processing fee
• Up to 10 sales a day paid another way (cash, bank transfer, your own card machine)
• Sales figures for the last 7 days
• No card needed to sign up - create your account in the app in a couple of minutes

GOOD TO KNOW
• An internet connection is needed to make a sale
• Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP); the app is for businesses in the United Kingdom
• You can ask for your account and its data to be deleted at any time, in the app (More > Delete account) or at maxsello.com/delete-account
