Description
The companion Android app to the McRib Locator website. The app allows users to submit recent sightings, find McRib sightings, and submit receipt photos for confirmation use.
Recent changes: Release 2.2.0 Bug Fixes : Additional error handling for Location services. Addressed issue with Geocoding reference lookup that caused Find and Submit features to throw an unpleasant error. Improving location data, and also improving access to photos already on the device.

GPS When I try to use GPS to locate I get "could not find GPS coordinates" and it has me enter my location. My location is on and my notification bar doesn't show that an app is looking for my location like it usually does. Not a big deal to me, just thought I would let you know.

I had used this app with a different android phone about three years ago and had no issues. Of course, the app has been updated since the last time I used it. I don't generally use the GPS feature of most apps because my phone requires WiFi for data so I can't say how well the GPS feature works (or doesn't) on this app, When I used it three years ago, the submit a receipt worked beautifully. I'm sure it still does provided the receipt is printed clear enough to photograph. I won't know until I try again with a clearer receipt. If the store's POS terminal is running low on ink, the receipt is going to have to be submitted at the website because the app won't be able to read it. This is not the app's fault. Whenever I tried to submit the receipt after photographing it using the app, the app couldn't find the photo. The app can fix this by asking for permission to access the phone's photo gallery as well as the camera. I would like to suggest an option to select the photo from the phone's gallery for those cases the receipt didn't print well and it has to be photographed with a device with a better camera, lighting, etc. A great app in need of tweaking.

Don't do it. There is an app from actual McDonald's that will show you where all the McRibs are. Search for McDonald's McRib Finder.
