Megapode Highway

Megapode Highway is an engaging biological arcade simulation and thermodynamic puzzle inspired by the unique nesting behavior of the Australian scrub-fowl. Players manage an outback incubation mound situated beside a bustling highway carriageway, balancing delicate clutch temperatures within the optimal 33°C to 35°C bracket. Through intuitive gesture controls, swipe up to pile insulating leaf mulch to retain biogenic decomposition heat during chilly outback nights, or swipe down to scratch ventilation chimneys and cool the mound against radiant asphalt heat waves.

Watch for oncoming highway road trains that speed past and radiate sudden thermal bursts, challenging you to seal ventilation shafts and clear exhaust soot before egg viability drops. Scurry to the roadside verge to forage for stamina fuel and probe the central egg chamber with sensitive beak readouts to sustain incubation momentum and trigger rapid hatching streaks. Featuring 100% procedurally generated visuals, fluid real-time physics, and local offline play, Megapode Highway delivers a responsive natural simulation where thoughtful micro-climate balance ensures clutch survival.
