Description
What is Memorion? • a universal flashcard learning program WITHOUT ads • based on an advanced 'spaced repetition' algorithm • 10-50 times more efficient than memorizing paper flashcards • has FREE vocabulary in 38 languages built-in, 700-12 000 words each • has many, many functions (see below) • it has extensive help functions • the user interface is English only
What is Memorion NOT? • an all-in-one language course • a 3-button-wonder to just learn 50 words for the next vacation (like 95% of all other flashcard apps in the store) • the simplest program in the store (it is just too powerful)
NOTE: Memorion can become addictive, once you start feeling its power
Functions (a selection): • true multi-directional learning with flashcards • 11 fun game modes (hang-man, multiple-choice, listening to numbers,..) • up to 8 text fields per card (to use for gender, examples, extra images, web links etc.) • card stacks can be downloaded from Anki, Memrise • designed for large databases (I have >20 000 cards in mine), with multi-level sub-stacks • 27 charts to document the learning progress
• multiple-choice, whiteboard, different keyboards and speech recognition as 5 out of 18 answer options • wizards for image searches, photos, audio recording and translations • Cloze texts fully supported • import files from Anki, AnyMemo, text, MS Word, Excel and Libre Office • fully integrated dictionaries from the Open Dictionary API Alliance (PONS, SlovoEd, etc.) • dictionary support for Google Translate, PONS and Leo online, ColorDict, dict.cc and 100+ others from Langenscheidt, VOX etc.

For such a powerful app, it should get more than 5-star; A very customizable and flexible app. The expert mode has quite high learning curve but once mastered, with some CSS/HTML knowledge, you can change almost all aspects of flashcard to your own likings. Main advantage - we can easily add/edit cards which would be cumbersome when done using Anki (droid). The slight disadvantage is it doesn't have sync for multiple devices, when I can do everything in my main phone, this feature is negligible.

Still fantastic! Had in the past been looking for a flashcard app that had more options than Quizlet and Cram. Memorial has got that in abundance and makes it fun, great to be able to import existing sets from other apps, or make your own. It's making language (or anything else) learning far more interesting. Just take care and read what the developer says, there is a learning curve, but don't be put off. It's great to be enthused about an app, and want to use it as much as possible - brilliant!
