The app is nice and elevates the experience. But I still prefer using the RFID cards to boop interactive elements like in the Denver and Las Vegas locations. While the app can track locations and brain beans to collect, it is not really used to advance the story. The app also had some difficulties with keeping the sensor on because the Meow Wolf guest Wi-Fi was having issues to complete to show the signing-in page. I think the app has potential, but it needs a little bit more work.

The app was not helpful at all. It did not help us navigate the museum, answer the scavenger hunt, or interact with the museum in any way.

Not a good experience, for the app and exhibit. Odd, uninspired art with no coherent story between areas. Said it was kid friendly but had suggestive adult themes. Do not recommend for anyone. Waste of money.

Did not work at all at the location in Houston. I gave it every permission it asked for, and it still did not work. It kept crashing every single time I opened the app.

Wi-Fi sign-in issues haven't been fixed for over a year now, and the app fails to register all the locations you've visited, so it never thinks you've finished the location. The info it adds to the experience is pretty minimal anyway. Using your phone also means you're seeing random notifications that pull you out of the experience. Just skip the app and enjoy real-life art that's right in front of you.
