Meridian is a private, customizable Android launcher and home screen replacement. Create separate home screens for work, home, travel or bedtime, launch apps and actions from a one-slide radial menu, and change settings with an optional AI assistant. No ads, analytics or account.

• Adjust the outer and center ring sizes and choose from five opening animations
• Use icons from your icon packs and show names under your finger, beside every item or not at all

SMART SEARCH AND ORGANIZATION

• Find apps by name, initials, typo-friendly matching or T9
• Search shortcuts, contacts and launcher settings
• Let Meridian suggest app categories; you approve every change
• Import a Nova backup or restore a Meridian backup

WIDGETS AND GESTURES

• Stack widgets and swipe between them
• Add Meridian widgets for search, Spaces, frequent apps, shortcuts, clock and AI balance

OPTIONAL AI ASSISTANT

Ask in plain language to change your launcher: “use circular icons”, “make a 5 × 6 grid” or “create a Bedtime Space”. Meridian previews every change and lets you undo it.

• Bring your own OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, Groq, Mistral, OpenRouter, Perplexity or compatible provider
• Connect a local Ollama server
• Off by default; requests go directly from your phone to the provider you choose

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

• No ads, analytics, trackers, crash reporting or Meridian account
• Optional weather, web search and AI are off until you enable them
• Permissions are requested only for the feature that needs them
• Back up your layout, icons, gestures, settings and Spaces to a file you control
• Crash safe mode helps keep your home screen usable

System actions (recent apps, lock screen, notification shade, quick settings) use an optional accessibility service that cannot read your screen. It is off by default, explained in the app before you enable it, and used only to perform the gestures you assign.

Recent changes:
Meridian 2.03: Other apps' widgets wear a Meridian card only while glued to an edge, and the widget's long-press menu can remove it. Also new in 2.02: glued cards join into one shape, Traditional Chinese, Pinyin sorting for Chinese app names, Edit stack and take a widget out, hide Orbit, folders follow your theme, a Split clock face, faster space switching. Plus fixes.
