MesoRadar: Storm & Snow Radar

MesoRadar is a live weather radar app for storm spotters, chasers, and anyone who needs to know what the weather is doing right now. Live NOAA NEXRAD doppler radar, a national storm radar mosaic, snow radar and snowfall forecasts, hurricane tracking, lightning, and severe weather warnings. Every warning and watch is free, with push alerts for one place. Neither plan shows ads.

- Every NEXRAD site. All 156 WSR-88D doppler radars at the lowest scan: reflectivity, velocity, dual-pol, rainfall totals and echo tops, plus storm tracks, decoded on your phone so it stays fast on a weak signal.
- The national radar mosaic. MRMS composite reflectivity, hybrid scan and precipitation rate, on a loop reaching back up to 2.5 hours.
- Rain, snow or mix: the national precipitation type map shows what is actually falling where you are.

- NEXRAD Level 2 radar at every site, quarter kilometer super resolution, and the higher elevation tilts so you can look up through the storm.
- Rewind: replay any storm since 2016 in full-resolution Level 2.
- TDWR terminal doppler radar at 45 airports, for tight coverage near cities.
- Storm-cell details: hail size and odds, tornado vortex and mesocyclone markers on every track.
- Slice: a storm from the side, every tilt from the ground up. Volume: the whole Level 2 scan in 3D, in reflectivity, velocity, CC or ZDR.
