I'm giving this a 1-star rating even though I've just downloaded it because I can't change the battery use options of the app. Only the most basic and needed apps on my phone have unrestricted access and a messaging app doesn't warrant such permission on MY phone. EDIT: After further investigation, the app, which is a messaging app, requires permission to access your phone for some after call feature that I'm not interested in. If I want to call someone, I will use my phone app.

The app itself seems to work well, but the overlay ads are a dealbreaker. As a software developer I understand the need to monetize apps via ads and other messaging apps have taken the approach to insert ads online with the messages. This app pops up full overlay ads rendering the app inoperable for 15 seconds unless you close and reopen the app. This is a nuisance especially when you are waiting for an MFA token, and it times out as a result. And no, I'm not buying an upgrade to remove ads.

Will not let me send MMS of any kind or receive them. Terrible, would not recommend for even regular, boring short texts. It claims to include mms, but the permissions do not have options for it. Ridiculous.
