Description by My Mobile Tools Dev (from Google Play)

Metal detector is an app which detects the presence of metal nearby. Metal detectors are useful for finding metal inclusions hidden within objects, or metal objects buried underground.

This app measures magnetic field using a magnetic sensor that is built into your device.

The magnetic field level (EMF) in nature is about 30 to 60 µT(micro tesla). When any metal(steel, iron) is near, magnetic field level will increase.

Make sure you are not around your computer or TV or Other electronic devices which can interfere with the readings of the magnetic sensor making Metal detector less powerful that it can be.

Features:
★ Detection of metals around the phone through the magnetic field
★ Alarm activation when magnetic field crosses a limit
★ Settings for alarm limit, beep sound and vibration
★ Turn on/ turn off beep sound
★ Turn on/ turn off vibration

Steps of calibration:
Hold your device in your hand, wave it in the air in the pattern of a figure-eight a few times and then set the device back down on a flat surface.

** Metal Detector cannot detect gold, silver and coins made by copper. They are classified as non-ferrous metal that has no magnetic field.

** Metal Detector require a magnetic sensor (magnetometer). If this app does not work properly, please check your android device specifications.

Comments on Metal Detector for Android

★★★★★ Nice app.but I need a no long range app dat capable to my phone

★★★★★ It seems accurate compared to others, but I like the presentation of this app best. I have it as a matter of curiosity. BUT people still think it's a metal detector when in fact it measures magnetic fields.

★★★★★ Its new and pretty interesante to have in hands

★★★★★ It's very effective. It can even detect aluminum alloys. It's really good.

★★☆☆☆ Didn't work. Picks up metal everywhere it isn't and then won't pick it up when phone is right next to it. Tried calibrating it but that didn't help
