Play along with eight drum beats: backbeat rock, four on the floor, half-time rock, shuffle blues, slow blues in 12/8, funk sixteenths, train beat and one drop. Each drum groove shows its pattern for hi-hat, snare and kick, and the tempo range where it feels best. Gap training mutes the drums every other bar, so you learn to keep time on your own.
