I had trouble connecting my U-shaped Midea 10,000 BTU window AC unit to my Wi-Fi. I have 45 years of experience with personal computers - was an IT consultant for 25 years. Turns out my Wi-Fi password was too long for this Mickey Mouse software. Shortened it to 20 characters and it connected finally. I tried the Smart home app first, and it wouldn't connect to my router no matter what I tried, but if I connected with this app first then 'migrated' to Smart home, it worked. Not impressed.

I'm giving one star because if you accidentally migrate your device to the "Smart home" app, you can no longer use this app unless you make a whole new account. The Smart home app is awful. And it will never let you migrate back to this app. It's took forever to set up the Smart home app just for it to not transfer back to this app. This app works good, but it tricks you into doing something that's irreversible.
