I don't submit app ratings very often, but feel compelled to do so, due to the unfair volume of negative ratings I've read. Firstly, everyone here is right, the options for EV drivers in Spain is poor. And it's not the number of chargers, of which there are many, it's schemes to pay for them, simply & easily. Up until I downloaded Miio, I couldn't find ONE that would accept my Australian debit card, and verify it to an Australian mobile number that had full roaming. Miio did both without issue.

Thus, app was recommended to me by Europcar when I rented a fully electric car in Portugal. In 30 minutes I was able to make an account, put money on the account with a credit card payment and charge the electric car on a public charger. During a week I used multiple public chargers, with only the app, so without the use of a Rfid card. The map with public chargers was also really useful. Also, you have the option to group multiple charges on one bill. So yes, very satisfied.

Forget using this app because 50 PERCENT OF STATIONS DO NOT LET YOU CHARGE WITHOUT A PHYSICAL CARD. (And if you are a tourist, you do not have 10 days to wait to get a physical card in the mail). Because 2 out of 3 charging stations that I went to (following the app) close to Lisbon Airport do not connect without a physical card, I could not recharge on time my rental and this cost me 120 euros. MIIO NEVER AGAIN. Completely unreliable.

My pre-charged card had 38 eur but, still, in the charging station, charge would stop due to "lack of funds" I was dumb enough to send more money to the app... more 50 eur to try to unblock the situation but issue remained. O contacted miio support in order to solve, but they do not answer. Used to be a good app, years ago. Now feels like a scam.

Rip-0ff. Charging in this network costed me around 1.2 EUR per kWh after all costs considered (energy + charger + fees?). That's 6 to 7 times what anyone pays when charging at home. Pricing in the app is not transparent at all. This is how you discourage EV adoption...
