MILEAGE THAT RECORDS ITSELF
Switch on trip detection and BrewGig notices when you start driving for work. It measures the distance and route, closes the trip when you park, and files it against the right vehicle — including the first mile, the one you always forget to start the timer for. Prefer to be deliberate? Start and stop trips by hand instead. Either way, recording continues with your screen off and the app closed.

INCOME AND EXPENSES
Log what you earned and what it cost you to earn it. Photograph a receipt the moment you pay and it attaches to the expense — a receipt in a glovebox is not a deduction. Fuel, insurance, phone, repairs, parking: BrewGig keeps deductible and claimable costs apart, because they are not the same thing at tax time.

BrewGig applies the published mileage and tax rates for your country and tax year, and shows what your own records add up to. Those figures are yours to check and to file. BrewGig is a record-keeping tool. It is not an accountant, is not affiliated with any tax authority, and does not file anything on your behalf.

LOCATION IN THE BACKGROUND
BrewGig collects location data to detect and measure your work trips even when the app is closed or not in use. This happens only while automatic trip detection is switched on, or while a trip is recording, and a notification is shown the whole time it runs. You can switch it off whenever you like, and the rest of the app works without it.
