Miller's welding app. I've been a production welder for a major auto performance company and a farm equipment manufacturer. I own one of Millers 251 wire welders and while this app is helpful, I can't help but feel that Miller DROPPED THE BALL with this app. I do hope Miller will improve this app but for now, its a good place to start. Every machine has its own personality and requires fine tuning. In the end, welding is a skill, and like all skills, it requires constant practice.

Basic parameters Like most of the reviews I will say that yes it's pretty cool and even handy at times but this is exactly what you would find in the side or front of most miller mig welders it's all just basic parameters. .. I always run my wire speed a little faster than most and when I stick I usually burn a little hotter but that's just me.. but this will most definitely get you in the ball park... just run a couple stringers to fine tune and you're set..

This is joke Rest world use metric system . Miller is not the best mig to much spatter . Inverter much complicated to set up . FRONIUS ESAB and much more check Russian welding machines 100% better. American style think in USA make in China for low cost sale expensive.

Good1* I tried to use it to discover the settings for welding 1" steel with 1/16" flux-cored, self shielded wire; but 5/8" was the thickest steel permitted. Also, I could not enter the size wire I am using----so, this app is of no use to me. The calculator tells me that using self-shielded wire on 5/8" steel is "not recommended." Perhaps I'm using the app wrong. If so, please correct me.

Thought it would be more in depth. Would be nice to have parameters for pulse. Volts, trim wfs etc. Cant spray overhead or vertical. And since when cant you short arc 1/2". Even your machines have parameter reference fror it.

This app is off! all new welders/ future welders learn with your eyes and ears don't rely on a app learn from experience most jobs you will use multiple different welders and brands EACH ONE WILL RUN A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENT!!!!!
