By Haikyu, from Google Play“Stop scrolling automatically. Add a daily pause before social apps open.”
Description by Haikyu Written by the developer, not by AppBrain. Click to read.
Mindful Scroll helps you interrupt autopilot by adding a brief pause before your chosen apps open, so you can make a more intentional decision in the moment.
🧠 Why most screen time apps don’t work
Most screen-time tools react too late, after you’re already inside the app and the habit has taken over.
Mindful Scroll works earlier: it catches the first reach, creates a short moment of awareness, and helps you choose with more intention.
⚡ How it works
• Choose the social apps you want to protect.
• The first time you open one each day, Mindful Scroll shows a pause screen.
• Take a breath, reset, and decide whether to continue.
• If you back out once, later opens are lighter and faster.
• Each app resets the next day.
🎯 What Mindful Scroll helps you do
• Stop opening apps on autopilot.
• Create more intentional phone habits.
• Reduce mindless scrolling without extreme restrictions.
• Stay aware of your behavior instead of relying on willpower alone.
• Keep access to your apps while adding a moment of control.
📈 See your behavior more clearly
Mindful Scroll helps you understand how your habits are changing over time with simple behavior insights, including:
• Intent Ratio.
• Autopilot opens.
• Momentum trends.
• Recovery patterns.
💡 Built for real life
You do not need to delete social media. You do not need a harsh blocker. You just need a pause at the right moment.
Great for people who want to:
• Stop reflexively opening Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, or any social media app.
• Reduce mindless scrolling.
• Improve focus.
• Feel more in control of their phone again.
Take back control, one pause at a time.
Accessibility Service Usage
Mindful Scroll uses Android’s AccessibilityService API for one core function:
to detect when a user opens a user-selected protected app (for example, Instagram or TikTok) and show a brief mindful pause screen before access.
With explicit user consent, Mindful Scroll uses AccessibilityService only to:
• Detect the current foreground app.
• Recognize when selected protected apps are opened.
• Display the in-app pause intervention/reminder.
Mindful Scroll does NOT use AccessibilityService to:
• Read typed text, messages, passwords, or personal content.
• Collect or transmit personal data to third parties.
• Change device settings without user action.
• Prevent users from disabling AccessibilityService.
All processing for this feature is performed on-device.
AccessibilityService is optional, user-enabled, and can be disabled at any time in Android Settings.
Recent changes:
• New design.
• General bug fixes and polish.
• Lifetime premium features.
• Reduced app size.
