Tap a square to clear it and press and hold to place or remove a flag. You can also switch between Clear and Flag controls whenever you prefer. After marking the neighboring mines, tap an open number to clear the remaining safe squares quickly.

Your first move and the surrounding squares are always safe, so each game begins with room to study the clues and plan your strategy.
