Effective February 1, 2022, the U.S. Government CBP Mobile Passport Control (MPC) application will be the only authorized application for MPC traveler entry into the United States.
*******************************************************************************

Mobile Passport Control streamlines your U.S. Customs and Border Protection processing experience. Simply fill out your profile and answer CBP’s questions – then go straight to the “Mobile Passport Control” lane at the airport.

CBP Mobile Passport Control is a voluntary program which can be used by U.S. Citizens and Canadian citizen visitors at any of the supported airport and seaport locations found on our website: https://www.cbp.gov/travel/us-citizens/mobile-passport-control

CBP Mobile Passport Control can be used in 5 simple steps:

1.) Eligible traveler(s) download the application and create a profile(s) using biographic information from their passport(s) and take a “selfie”; all eligible members in a family group can create a profile, submit their CBP form (up to 12 eligible members per trip), and store their information completely free to be used for future travel.

2.) Upon landing, travelers select their method of travel, port of entry and terminal, answer CBP inspection related questions, certify the truthfulness and accuracy of their answers, and submit their profiles and responses to CBP.

3.) Once submitted, CBP sends an encrypted Quick Response (QR) code back to the traveler’s device.

4.) Travelers proceed to the MPC designated queue upon arrival and present their QR code to a CBP Officer along with their passport. Please note: MPC does not replace your passport; your passport will need to be presented to the CBP Officer.

5.) The CBP Officer will complete their inspection.

MPC provides a more efficient, secure in-person inspection process for the CBP Officer and the traveler, and shortens overall entry wait times.

★★★★★ MPC basically is a fast pass at customs in Toronto and Montreal when flying to a US destination. Download the app and use it to skip the lineup. You will need to upload your passport information and add the preclearance information for you and your traveling companion, next you will answer the questions. This will generate a QR code. Border security will scan this to retrieve all your clearance information. THIS saved us with tight connections many times. Follow MPC sign for designated fast line

★★★★★ Really breezed me through customs once I figured it out. I was uncertain about port of entry at Dulles Airport. Apparently, there are two customs ports: The main terminal & the midfield terminal. As I was filling out the form the morning of travel, I couldn't find definitive information about which port my flight would use. I found out when I got off the plane and saw I was at the main terminal. At that point, however, there's no opportunity to pause to fill out and submit.

★★☆☆☆ When I tried to use it in Miami CBP officer said they don't use it, and it doesn't work. It did kill 20 mins while I waited in line at passport control.

★★☆☆☆ Junk! Easy enough to fill out, scan passport info & take photos. BRICKWALL when it came time to submit, received an error message several times & went through LAX (supposedly one of the supported airports) customs the "old-fashioned way.

★★☆☆☆ Useless program. I downloaded it, used it at Newark airport and customs did not want to see it or use it. Why have it of you do not use it? Waste of time and energy.

★★☆☆☆ Tried to use it in JFK, and it did not work. An officer said that the app is down today. I wonder how often this happens
