Description

Mocha X11 lets you connect easily to X11 Window applications such as Xterm, running on a Linux (UNIX) platform.
The UNIX application run on the remote server, but the application output appears on the Android phone/tablet. Mocha X11 includes clients, which can be configured to start the remote application.

Actually works OK: start the X-Server, ssh into the host (I used Juice SSH), export the DISPLAY, start the app (I tested clock and brave). It really was as simple as that. It's a bit annoying this demo version limits your sessions to blocks of 5 minutes and the full version is a bit too expensive.

Works OK, but the full version seems very expensive. If you have the client set-up correctly (which is fiddly) you can launch a xterm, and then open other programs. The 5-minute countdown is just enough time to get one thing done, but the £26 cost of the full app seems extremely high. I am fully prepared to buy good apps, but not at that price.

Cannot connect to other ports than 22... Passing ip:port gives a DNS error (ips are not resolved by dns, names are)

I am glad I could try this before purchase, as I will not be purchasing the full version. The obvious Window's client to run is a desktop manager. As the remote machine was a Raspberry Pi, I ran the default manager (lxde). This local Server did not handle that client well.
