Moon FM - The Podcast App

★★★★★ I can download and play podcasts offline. Unlike SOME other podcast app that was advertised on the play store.

★★★★★ My observations after install and setup today. ++ UI is great. It is clean and simple. A refreshing change from most of the other podcast apps. Can choose from 3 different dark modes. -- The entire list of episodes from my subscriptions appears in "Listen now". There doesn't seem to be a way to clear it, or mark episodes as played without actually playing them. -- No option to automatically download new episodes from my subscriptions. I've had to manually mark them to be downloaded.

★★☆☆☆ Best looking podcast app I've seen! That's it. No features. Not even an option to mark episodes as played. What are you supposed to do when moving from other apps and have accumulated lots of listens across many podcasts? And this is a very old app! Hard pass.

★★☆☆☆ Can't download episodes easily. Can't find settings how to auto-download new episodes or specifically download a feed's episodes. Not many customization options or choices with this app.

★★☆☆☆ Garbage!... Does absolutely nothing it's supposed to, and it's about as UNintuitive as it gets. The 5.0 reading must be wrong, because I couldn't even import an OPML.

★★☆☆☆ This app would honestly be the BEST PODCAST APP on Android if it weren't for a few crucial features all podcast apps should have, namely the ability to skip forward/back 30/15 seconds with headphones. I also really don't like that when you subscribe to a podcast, it adds the ENTIRE back catalog to your feed, rather than just the most recent one. There is the ability to make playlists, but I'd rather not have to do that myself. Fix these issues, and this would hands down be the best app out there.

★★☆☆☆ 1. Enhanced voice is a paid feature. 2. There's no mark to tell an episode is favorite by me in the episode list. 3. Steps are too large in the speed changing. 4. No built-in service to sync your data, have to self-host.
