Comments on Moon+ Reader Pro for Android

★★★★★ Kayla Brown · Aug 2, 2026

I love this app, it's probably the best reader app ive tried. It gives a lot of freedom on how to organize books and how to format your reading experience. The tts is useful when I have to keep my hands free too. I would like it if there was a way to remove a large amount of text, or if names replacement could support a longer string of letters. Sometimes I download a webpage to listen to, and there are miscellaneous repeating passages I would like to remove or "replace" with nothing.

Have been using the app for years to read my books

★★★★★ Jen Peterson · Jul 21, 2026

This has become my favorite book reader app! It is chocked full of endless options to customize reading your way… Everything from dual page layout, customizable themes, right down to background color or custom image as background, real page flip options, page flip sounds, customizable reading bar for the bottom of the page, many page layout options, fonts, backup and cloud sync and more. I honestly can't think of anything that isn't there. I been using Moon+ Reader Pro for 20 years now.

I really regret that I actually paid for this app. After years, suddenly no more Google Drive, and now I'm not allowed to use my ereader app without connecting to the internet first. Makes me wonder if this app needs to be able to read and send our data somewhere. Disappointing

★★☆☆☆ Nick · Sep 29, 2026

With all its customization and complexity, the app is missing a seamless book and sync position connection to server Book Orbit. Dictionary implementation could be much, much better than this, with a well integrated wikidictonary for example.

I left a review saying how Moon+ Reader is such a great app, and since I have play pass, I decided to try its pro version. It was fine at first, but suddenly the app just keeps force closing. Whenever I open it, it immediately closes back down. But if I'm fast enough and click on a book, it doesn't close. I don't know what happened. I didn't change anything, but hopefully it gets fixed. I don't want to lose all my bookmarks and stuff.
