NOTE: this is not a standalone app, it enables the features in SwipePad like add more pads, change pad size, back up and restore.
You can assign different hotspots on your phone screen to different pads: one for favorite apps, one for contacts, one for bookmarks, etc. If you have a big screen and thinking about putting more than 12 slots together, this add-on is also the way to go.

Wow, the best app I ever downloaded is the SwipePad (deserves to be spelled with capital letters!) along with this add-on to unlock more portals. This is finally what I wanted something to make android mimic blackberry with swipe gestures like a blackberry playbook, it is simply amazing A+ and so far with my minimum 1 gig of ram in my Samsung galaxy 3 - 10.1 x86 tablet it seems to handle it just fine so it must be light on resources as well which I checked before purchase! Also, it always stays open for me just awaiting me to "need it" but yet does not show in open app's, another super big plus. I can not say enough about this application, keep making it like blackberry (now that blackberry and android joined forces with the new Blackberry Priv Phone yet the custom blackberry/android ROM will never be available this is the next best thing!) more and more with the swipe gestures (QNX!) and always fine tune it to be light. I can not ask for anything more but will suggest allowing it to swipe from lock-screen if at all possible with permissions but that is no biggie to me! I never write a review but this is well deserved, 5+++ stars! I can not say enough about this app! Get it now! A+

Not as great as it should be I bought this app in hopes of adding some needed functionality to Swipepad. My biggest complaint is that when you make a portal, you cannot link to another pad. Pads are only accessed via the hotspots. However, from the sound of it, I thought I could make a pad, and link to it using a portal. Unfortunately the portals only link to a folder that you make at that time. You cannot link to this folder from another portal or pad without manually recreating it. That means if I add an app to one folder, I have to add it to any other folders as well. If the portal was a link to a pad, this wouldn't happen. Also, the ability to add more slots on the pads are nice but it needs to be configurable for individual pads. If I increase the size of my default pad to 15, and I have another pad that only has 3 apps, there are now a lot of empty spaces in that other pad. So increasing pad size should be for individual pads, not universal across the entire app. Finally, any empty slots should not have a name when using the app. When editing, it's nice to see the slot number but when using the app, the extra words make the screen more jumbled with unnecessary text. I uninstalled.
