Music Slow Downer

Practice a solo, a verse or a difficult passage at a tempo you can follow. Music Slow Downer plays supported audio files from your device and lets you repeat the section you want to learn.

• Open a local audio file with your device’s file picker.
• Adjust playback speed from 25% to 200%. Keep the original pitch, or turn pitch preservation off so pitch changes with speed.
• Play, pause and skip backward or forward five seconds.
• Set A and B during playback to repeat a section, then clear the loop when you are done. A loop must be at least half a second long.
• Return to up to 20 recent files with their saved playback speed and A–B points.
• Keep the screen on while a file is open, or continue listening in the background with system media controls.

Tap the gear at the right of the home screen to open Settings. The first option lets you follow the system language or select one of 17 app languages. Original filenames stay as they are.

Audio playback is handled on your device. Opening a file creates a copy in the app’s private cache. The operating system may clear this cache; if a recent file is unavailable, open it again from your files. Supported formats depend on your device’s audio capabilities. No account is needed, and the app does not upload your audio.

Send optional feedback through a shared Tally form localized to your selected language. The form may include nine basic app and device diagnostic fields. Audio and filenames are not attached.

The app includes ads. Ad services and Firebase Analytics operate separately from local audio playback and optional feedback. Ads and the feedback form require an internet connection.
