MXWOW

A little hero has a rough fight ahead. MXWOW is a pixel-art shoot-em-up that sends you into enemy waves with weapons to find and coins to scoop up along the way. How far you get depends on how long you can hold out.

From above, you can see the creatures closing in and the space you have left to move. MXWOW fills that view with bright shots and an odd little world of blue plants, pink ground, crates, and barrels. You'll need to pay attention to more than the enemy you're shooting at.

Fight your way through the waves

Collect coins and choose your upgrades
The coins you gather in MXWOW can go toward more health, faster movement, or harder-hitting attacks. Open the upgrade screen to check what you can afford. If you're struggling to get away from enemies, speed may be your next purchase. If you want stronger attacks, save for damage.

Each upgrade has a coin cost, so you have a reason to keep collecting even while you're busy with the current wave. Decide which improvement you want next and work toward it. You can focus on the attribute that suits the way you play, or change your priorities after a difficult fight.

Find weapons and keep firing
Keep an eye out for new weapons in MXWOW as you make your way around the battlefield. Finding one gives you something else to bring to the fight, but you'll still need space to use it. Watch the enemies nearby while you shoot, especially when they're getting close to your character.

There's a small decision in going after a coin with enemies nearby: move toward it now, or give yourself some breathing room first. The same attention helps when you're looking for weapons. Keep track of what's around you so that chasing a pickup doesn't distract you from the fight.
