WALK TRACKING & BACKGROUND LOCATION
The walk tracking feature records your route, distance, pace and steps using GPS — even when your phone screen is off or the app is running in the background. To enable continuous and accurate recording, MeinSchnuff runs a foreground service (indicated by a persistent notification in your status bar) for the entire duration of an active walk. You start and stop every walk manually. The foreground service stops automatically as soon as the walk is ended or cancelled. No location data is collected outside of an active tracking session.
