The NPS app gives a lot of detailed information about each park, lodging available in the park, rules of each park and a lot more. You can search an area and see what parks are close by. Great app for anyone who does or doesn't know what park they want to visit!

I love using this app as I travel the United States of America. I've been to so many National Parks. I appreciate the National Park Service, and it's employees. I value their hard work, time, effort, and compassion they have for our country's Flora and Fauna. Thank you, park employees for being so strong and courageous. The app is not showing me all the long hikes in Joshua Tree NP. a ranger said there should be several more than the 4 that are showing. I have had this happen at other parks too. The ranger said it is a problem on the Android app, not the iPhone. Please fix thx!

This app has a LOT of potential. Unfortunately, it falls short. It's good for basic info, like park hours, amenities and such. However, at least for the parks I've visited, it lacks any of the deeper information, like actual trail maps, driving tour maps/info or that next layer of functionality I was expecting. You'll still need to grab the park map/brochure at the visitor center. I would love to see this app be a one-stop shop for my NPS visits, it's just not there yet.
