New user with pixel 8. (I miss the fingers print swipe down from Pixel 4a 5g). This is the best substitute! It would be great to get right and left edge swipe down gesture for the menu. Thanks

This feature should be standard on ALL phones, especially since the largest phones are pushing almost 7-inch screens! You either have to use two hands to pull the notification menu down, do a very uncomfortable stretch with your hand to reach the top of your screen, or go back to the home screen and perform the swipe down gesture. Not anymore! Now you can have an always visible button in your navigation bar that pulls down your notification menu no matter what you're doing on your phone!
