Description
The NDSI Lite provides basic diagnostics for N i s s a n and I n f i n i t i cars. It is intended for older cars that have a grey 14-pin Consult I connector. Those are usually cars build between years 1989 and 2000. The connector is typically located near the fuse box. For a list of supported vehicles please visit our website.
This application supports both, petrol and diesel cars. It communicates with the engine ECU using Consult I protocol. It uses the same communication protocol as the dealer diagnostic tool.
The video recorder function saves an mp4 video file with accompanying data log file. An Overlay software such as RaceRender can then be used to generate videos with custom data visualization.
A Bluetooth or USB diagnostic adapter is required to connect to the car. Those can be purchased from eBay, Internet stores or hobbyists. Visit our website for a list of tested and recommended adapters.

Works great! 1993 240sx KA24DE. 1) Use USB OTG cable to use your phone as a host 2) Make sure your phone supports USB OTG (most do) 3) Buy a legitimate Consult to USB connector (mine via Innovations) 4) Disable Bluetooth connection to use USB. Tips once running: -Use dash view since you can customize the gauges and add ones which aren't default displayed. -add gauges as linear, and you can put all on one screen Comments: phone's can't charge and use this cable without the phone using USB PD 2.0, which most phones don't have. Be prepared to drain your battery by powering the connector, or buy a window tablet with native host USB port + charging port, so you can keep your gauges up all day long. Awesome app, thank you. Will purchase paid version shortly to support future dev

I just don't connect to my 1998 or 1999 Nissan Maximas. It does connect to my 1991 Q45, so I know the software is installed and running on my phone correctly. If there is a modification or update needed for the software to work on a 4th gen Maxima, I need it. I get the Ini Failed message when I try to connect to a 98 or 99 Maxima. No errors connecting to my 91 Q45.

Connecting via a HC-05 Bluetooth adapter wired into an old RS232 consult adapter as per the instructions on their website, and just get ini failed constantly. Their site mentions using an oscilloscope to test it, but they don't say what to do if it doesn't work. :-(

Waste of money The!!!! The paid version of the app was a complete waste of mone. The free version at least tried to connect to the obd (even though it was always unsuccessful). The paid version just keeps crashing and when it doesn't crash it won't even try to connect. Press the connect button and then select the obd out of the list and nothing just says to connect again.
