Comments on Neo Music - Retro Audio Player for Android

★★★★★ Jessebelle Y. · May 18, 2026

I wanted to find a stylish media player that didn't sacrifice actual usability. This is that to a T, and I couldn't be happier with it. The one thing I'd love to see is the ability to pixelate the album art, since it's kinda hard to appreciate it otherwise. But other than that, this is an easy slam dunk of an all for me.

★★★★☆ Diagonal · Jun 21, 2026

Neo's UI and free features are spectacular, but it completely glitched on my downloaded.m4a music files. It copied the artwork of the very first track ("2D") and slaps it across all 800 other songs—both on the player screen AND the song lists. My AI assistant and I concluded that Neo pulls from Android's "Unknown Album" group cache rather than reading embedded track tags directly like Oto Player does. Please fix the scanner!

★★☆☆☆ Google User · Jul 18, 2026

Constant crashes, slow, irritating UI, AI-sounding text. Not recommended.
